What’s the big problem with spyware?

In case you’re wondering what all the fuss is about, we need to make ourselves clear. The software programs we’re talking about are not like billboards, ads on TV, brochures in your mailbox or inserts in your newspaper.

These slimy parasites are more like thieves who are paid to get into your house by any means — picking locks, breaking windows (pun intended ;)), driving a bulldozer through your wall, anything. When they do get in (and they’re very determined), they vandalise, break and steal anything they feel like and then set up a command centre in your lounge room to expand their operations.

Spyware, adware, malware, scumware, crapware, call it what you will… a cowpat wrapped up to look like a birthday cake may look sweet and juicy, but there’s a whole world of hurt beneath the surface.

Blessings, Steve
