In Spyware Pusher Sued!, Spyware Warrior reports that New York Attorney General Eliot Spitzer is taking on spyware vendor Intermix. Spitzer has filed a lawsuit alleging that “the firm was the source of ’spyware’ and ‘adware’ that has been secretly installed on millions of home computers.”

Firefox updated to 1.0.3

Recently, I posted about a flaw in Firefox that could potentially allow an attacker to see stuff that they shouldn’t.

Almost no sooner said than done, the Mozilla people have released an update for Firefox (version 1.0.3) that fixes the issue.  Read more »
