cNet’s Download.com has become what I think is the first major download site to purge programs containing adware & spyware from its directory (kudos to Spyware Warrior for beating me to this one! ;) ).  Read more »

Spyware makers beware!

In Spyware Pusher Sued!, Spyware Warrior reports that New York Attorney General Eliot Spitzer is taking on spyware vendor Intermix. Spitzer has filed a lawsuit alleging that “the firm was the source of ’spyware’ and ‘adware’ that has been secretly installed on millions of home computers.”
